Question
The way in which historians focus on industrialisation rather than on small workshops is a good example of how what we believe today about the past is influenced by what historians choose to notice and what they ignore. Note down one event or aspect of your own life which adults such as your parents or teachers may think is unimportant, but which you believe to be important.

Solution
My parents and teachers place more priority on academic achievement than on athletic accomplishments. While achieving first place in class is undoubtedly commendable, I believe that excelling in athletics, such as winning a 100-meter race, is equally valuable. Academics and athletics both contribute greatly to a person’s total development, helping them to become well-rounded individuals. Thus, both should be given equal importance.
