Solution
Susceptibility of annealed iron,
\[\chi=5500\]
The relation between permeability and susceptibility:-
Permeability, µ = µ0(1 + x)
µ = 4π × 10−7 (1 + 5500)
⇒ µ = 4 × 3.14 × 10−7 × 5501
⇒ µ = 69092.56 × 10−7
⇒ µ = 6.9 × 10−3

When a dielectric is placed in an electric field, it gets polarised. The electric field in a polarised material is less than the applied field. Three identical bar magnets are rivetted together at centre in the same plane as shown in figure. This system is placed at rest in a slowly varying magnetic field. It is found that the system of magnets does not show any motion. The north-south poles of one magnet is shown in the figure. Determine the poles of the remaining two.
