Given: a = 8 cm, b = 10 cm, c = 6 cm

Step-wise calculation:

1. Identify the largest side:

b = 10 cm  ...(Hypotenuse)

2. Compute squares of the two shorter sides:

82 + 62 = 64 + 36 

= 100

3. Compare with square of largest side:

102 = 100

Since 64 + 36 = 100 = 102, the Pythagorean relation holds.

The triangle is a right triangle (right-angled between the 8 cm and 6 cm sides; hypotenuse = 10 cm).
