Solution
Persome can rightly be compared to a ‘mother hen’ because she is very protective and caring towards her brother, the Bishop. She is always worried about his safety, comfort and well-being. She does not like him giving away their money and belongings to poor people. She feels that the Bishop is too kind and often gets himself into trouble by helping others. Her anger and complaints are actually caused by her love and concern for her brother. Like a mother hen protecting her chicks, Persome constantly watches over the Bishop and tries to protect him. Thus, although she appears selfish and harsh at times, she is loving, caring and protective towards the Bishop.
