Main factors that contributed to growth of Nation States were as follows:

1. Rise of nationalism
2.  Church was submitted to King’s authority.
3. Rulers opposed the Supremacy of the Church.
4. After the long tussle between the rulers and the Church, after the Reformation religion of the King became the religion of the people and at last, the Nation-States came into existence.
