Solution
Ratio between the prices of scooter and a refrigerator = 4:1
Cost price of scooter = ₹45,000
Let the cost of scooter = 4x
Cost of refrigerator = 1x
According to condition,
Cost of scooter > Cost of refrigerator
⇒ 4x- 1x = 45000
⇒ 3x = 45000
x = `45000/3`
⇒ x = 15000
∴ Price of refrigerator = ₹15000
