Solution

(3, 5)

Explanation;

Hint:

                 3x − y  = 4   ...(1)
                   x + y  = 8   ...(2)
(1) + (2) ⇒ 4x       = 12

x = `12/4` = 3

Substitute the value of x = 3 in (2)

3 + 7 = 8

y = 8 – 3 = 5

The point of intersection is (3, 5)
