Solution
i. Total fraction for Red (R)
= `1/8 + 1/8 + 1/8`
= `3/8`
Now, `3/8 = 3/8 xx 100/100`
= `300/8%`
= 37.5%
∴ Percentage of red colour = 37.5%
ii. Total fraction for Blue (B)
= `1/4 + 1/4`
= `2/4`
= `1/2`
Now, `1/2 = 1/2 xx 100/100`
= `100/2%`
= 50%
∴ Percentage of blue colour = 50%
iii. Total fraction for Green (G)
= `1/16 + 1/16`
= `2/16`
= `1/8`
Now, `1/8 = 1/8 xx 100/100`
= `100/8%`
= 12.5%
∴ Percentage of green colour = 12.5%
Now, sum of all percentage
= 37.5% + 50% + 12.5%
= 100%
If we rearrange the same pieces to form some other shape, then percentage of colours will not change.
