Solution
Length of the staircase = `5 1/2` m
Distance between each step = `1/4` m
∴ Number of steps in the staircase = `5 1/2 ÷ 1/4`
= `11/2 ÷ 1/4`
= `11/2 xx 4/1`
= 22
There will be 22 steps in the staircase
