Solution
a. The production decreased for Bajra, Jowar and Rice.
b. Production of Bajra in 2009
= 1.4 × 103 – 100
= 1400 – 100
= 1300
= 1.3 × 103 hectares
Production of Jowar in 2009
= 1.7 × 106 – 440,000
= 1,700,000 – 440,000
= 1,260,000
= 1.26 × 106 hectares
Production of Rice in 2009
= 3.7 × 103 – 100
= 3700 – 100
= 3600
= 3.6 × 103 hectares
Production of Wheat in 2009
= 5.1 × 105 + 190,000
= 510,000 + 190,000
= 700,000
= 7 × 105 hectares
c. Production of Rice in 2015
= (3600 – 600) hectares
= 3000 hectares
= 3.0 × 103 hectares
