The food we eat remains in the stomach for a maximum of 4 hours.
Total number of hours in a day = 24 hours
∴ The required fraction
= `4/24`
= `(4 ÷ 4)/(24 ÷ 4)` ...[∵ H.C.F of 4 and 24 is 4]
= `1/6`
