Given that:
Area of playground = 4800m²
i.e., l x b = 4800m²   ......................................(1)
Height (h)
= 2.5cm
= 0.025m    ...[∵ 1m = 100cm]
Volume of playground
= l x b x h
= 4800 x 0.025   ...[From (1)]
= 120m³
Cost of gravel = Rs.7.25per m³
i.e., For 1m³ = Rs.7.25
∴ For 120m³ = Rs.7.25 x 120
= Rs.870
Thus the cost of covering the area with gravel = Rs.870.
