The angle between incident ray and reflected ray is 60°. What is the value of angle of incidence?

Solution

The angle made between the reflected ray and incident ray includes the angle of incidence and angle of reflection. So, we have, i  + r = 60°

Also, we know that angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection. 

So, we have, i = r

Therefore, i + i = 60°

i = `(60^circ)/2` = 30°
