Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at New Era Public School yesterday. The event, held in the school auditorium, was graced by the presence of the State Education Minister, Shri Deepak Kesarkar, who presided over the function as the Chief Guest.

The programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony followed by a heartfelt welcome speech. Students then presented a vibrant variety programme, featuring cultural performances such as traditional dances, soulful songs, and humorous skits that depicted school life. These performances were a dedicated tribute to the selfless efforts of our educators.

A significant highlight of the day was the felicitation ceremony, where five retired teachers of the school were specially honoured. They were presented with shawls and mementoes by the Minister as a token of gratitude for their decades of dedicated service. In his address, the Education Minister lauded the role of teachers as the architects of society. The memorable celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and the distribution of sweets, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and gratitude.
