Vestigial organs are those organs that are non-functional in the possessor but were functional in their ancestors. Human alone possesses more than a hundred vestigial organs in their bodies, such as the vermiform appendix at the end of the caecum, coccyx (tail vertebrae), and tail muscles and nipples in males. These are the remnants of the organs that were functional in ancestral forms.
