Solution
As we have seen in Sri Lanka, linguistic separation has resulted in societal conflict, ruining the country and creating a civil war. However, in India, despite having around 114 major languages, we live in peace and wealth with a spirit of unity. My state, Andhra Pradesh, was the first to be formed based on linguistic divisions. The protests in my state started when Andhra people were denied employment and educational opportunities in Madras State. After the split, both states grew as a result of easier administration.
As we have seen in Tamil Nadu, banning the use of English has resulted in a militant movement; linguistic tolerance is essential for our country. Indeed, the establishment of states based on language has strengthened the country’s unity. It’s also made administration easier.
