Solution

  1. When heated, the pieces of wax melt and change from solid to liquid.
  2. The initial state of wax was solid.
  3. On heating, the solid wax was converted into liquid wax.

When the bowl is kept in cold water, the liquid wax cools and changes back into solid wax. This process is called solidification.
