Here t₁ = 1, t₂ = 3, t₃ = 6, t₄ = 10
Then,
t₂- t₁ = 3-1 = 2
t2- t₃ = 6-3 = 3
t₄- t₃ = 10-6 = 4
t₂- t₁≠ t2- t₃≠ t₄- t₃
Since the difference between two consecutive terms is not constant.
Therefore the given sequence is not an A.P.
