The two environmental concerns in India are:

The rapid increase in the number of motor vehicles, from about 3 lakh in 1957 to around 230 million in 2016, has significantly contributed to rising air pollution. This poses serious health risks to the population.
2. Water Contamination: Water pollution is another major environmental concern. Growing population, industrial waste, and improper disposal of sewage have led to contamination of water bodies. Industrial and developmental activities have reduced water quality and harmed aquatic life. Although the government has taken measures to control water pollution, the results have not been fully satisfactory.
