Funaria is a plant of the Bryophyta department of the Cotyledon subfamily. It is also called moss, but the name moss is used for about 200 different species. This plant is amphibious because it grows in moist soil and requires water for reproduction. The structure of this plant is long, like a flat ribbon, and it has root-like organs. Under favourable conditions, stalks and capsules appear. Spores are formed from the capsule, so Marchesia can reproduce asexually. Apart from this, sexual reproduction also takes place in it.
