= 140 ÷ [33 – ( – 42) ÷ 14 – 1]
= 140 ÷ [33 + 42 ÷ 14 – 1]
= 140 ÷ [33 + 3 – 1]
= 140 ÷ [36 – 1]
= 140 ÷ 35
= 4
