Number of books = 18
∴ Ratio of notebooks to books = Number of notebooks : Number of books
= 24 : 18
= `24/18`
= `(24 div 6)/(18 div 6)` (HCF of 24 and 18 = 6)
= `4/3`
= 4 : 3
Thus, the ratio of notebooks to books is `4/3` or 4 : 3.
