Solution

By section formula

`-4 = (2 xx m + 1 xx (-6))/(2 + 1)`

∴ `-4 = (2m - 6)/3`

∴ –12 = 2m – 6

∴ 2m = –6

∴ m = –3

`6 = (2 xx n + 1 xx 10)/(2 + 1)`

∴ `6 = (2n + 10)/3`

∴ 18 = 2n + 10

∴ 2n = 8

∴ n = 4

∴ Co-ordinates of point B are (–3, 4).
