Solution
- Carbon dioxide
- Kyoto Protocol:
It is an international agreement that aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and the presence of greenhouse gases. As developed countries have already produced more emissions than developing or underdeveloped countries, the cap is more for developed nations. The Kyoto Protocol aims to stabilise human-generated emissions at a level that will not inflict further harm on the atmosphere. - In rural areas, methane is produced in biogas plants. It is used to light bulbs or other smaller electric appliances. In urban areas, methane is used as fuel in industries.
- The Presence of oxides of nitrogen in larger amounts in the atmosphere may lead to global warming, acid rains, and disturbed ecological cycles.
