Solution
The power generated in the picture is hydel power (hydroelectric power). Hydroelectricity is produced by using the energy released when water falls from a height with great force. Water is collected behind a dam, and when released, it falls on the blades of a turbine located at the bottom of the dam. The force of the falling water rotates the turbine, which in turn drives a generator to produce electricity. Hydel power is renewable, clean, and doesn’t cause pollution.
