Monthly salary of Mr. Sharma = ₹ 8000
He spends every month = ₹ 6400
His savings = ₹ 8000 – 6400 = ₹ 1600

(i) Percent expenditure = `6400/8000xx100%`

= 80%

(ii) Percent savings = `1600/8000xx100%`

= 20%
