Amount given to his wife = `2/5` of Rs. 1,20,000
= Rs. 2 × 24,000 = Rs. 48,000
Remaining amount = Rs. 120000 – Rs. 48000 = Rs. 72000
This amount is distributed among three children equally.
Each’s share = Rs. 72,000 × `1/3` = Rs. 24,000
