Solution
The basic single serve that separates long service from short serves is the high (long) serve, which directs the shuttle high and deep. After flipping over, the shuttle should land as close to the back boundary line as possible. In comparison, with a low (short) serve, we utilize little to no wrist action, touch the bird at the thigh level, push or guide the shuttle low and near to the net, and finish by rolling our shoulders and hips around while the racket follows the path of the bird's flight.
