Solution
- Air exerts pressure and has weight. It always stays in contact with the soil and the water when it is pressed down.
- Due to their physical contact, exchange of gases between air, land and water takes place on a continuous basis.
- Because of this interaction, nitrogen and oxygen are absorbed by the soil. Due to evaporation, water vapour in the atmosphere rises from the oceans.
- Carbon dioxide in air helps in absorption of heat and keeps the earth warm at night.
- The atmosphere is the most dynamic entity due to its makeup. Huge volumes of air are being transported over the earth’s surface as well as up and down.
- The energy of the sun is responsible for keeping the atmosphere in a dynamic state.
