Solution

Given, M.P. of a pair of jeans = Rs.1750
Discount = 30%
`"S.P."/"M.P." = 1 - "discount"/(100)`

⇒ `"S.P."/(1750) = 1 - (30)/(100)`

⇒ S.P. = `(70)/(100)` x Rs.1750
= Rs.1225
∴ Amount paid by the customer for the pair of jeans = Rs.1225.
