I made a list of 10 working adults from my family and neighbourhood and asked them about the culture at their workplaces. Some of them said that their workplaces have a supportive and cooperative environment, where the management and coworkers are professional, friendly, and helpful. Their companies also provide a safe working environment for women. Others mentioned that their workplaces have strict rules, clear goals, and a strong focus on teamwork. After comparing my findings with my classmates, I found that many people experience a similar work environment. The most commonly used words to describe their workplaces were strict, supportive, friendly, and goal-orientated.
