Solution

Item M.P. (₹) Discount Price after discount (Selling price) GST GST Amount
A ₹ 800 × ₹ 15 = ₹ 12,000 20%

₹ 12,000 − 20% of ₹ 12,000

₹ 12,000 − ₹ 2,400 = ₹ 9,600

5% 5% of ₹ 9,600 = 480
B ₹ 1,500 × ₹ 20 = ₹ 30,000 30%

₹ 30,000 − (30% of ₹ 30,000)

₹ 30,000 − ₹ 9,000 = ₹ 21,000

12% 12% of ₹ 21,000 = 2,520
C ₹ 30 × ₹ 20 = ₹ 600 -   18% 18% of ₹ 600 =108

(i) Total GST paid:

= ₹ 480 + ₹ 2,520 + ₹ 108

= ₹ 3,108

(ii) Total bill amount:

= Total Selling Price + Total GST paid

= (₹ 9,600 + ₹ 21,000 + ₹ 600) + ₹ 3,108

= ₹ 31,200 + ₹ 3,108

= ₹ 34,308
