Interviewer:	Hello, ma’am.
Mrs. Pawar:	Hello, dear.
Interviewer:	I remember your introduction to English as a topic when I first took your class in 8th standard. I used to be very afraid of it. Your encouragement and support have significantly improved my performance.
Mrs. Pawar:	Thank you, dear. Whenever I see a student benefiting from my teaching I not only become happy but also feel blessed as a teacher.
Interviewer:	Ma'am can you tell me a little about yourself.
Mrs. Pawar:	Sure! I was born in Delhi to an office clerk father and a housewife mother. I am the elder of two sisters. I received a B.Ed. degree after studying English at both graduation and master's levels. I joined at this school shortly after finishing my studies, and even after 15 years of teaching, I still feel like I'm learning.
Interviewer:	Can you tell me why you chose to study English and later to teach it?
Mrs. Pawar:	My father purchased me R L Stevenson's Treasure Island, which made me fall in love with English literature. I was 15 at the time. I loved the story and the writing. We weren't wealthy, so my father went me to the local library and got me a library card. Fortunately, the library contained a decent collection of English classics. My interest in this subject grew over time, and when the time came, I decided to study the language.
Interviewer:	I have never seen you using notes in class. It seems you memorise all the poems and prose and describe them to us in a new way every time. What is your secret?
Mrs. Pawar:	When you love doing something, it becomes ingrained in your mind and soul. I enjoy both the teaching experience and the subject matter. When I see the children's minds open and absorb knowledge, it makes me happy that I can help them learn new things.
Interviewer:	Too many of us English is not an easy subject. What advice do you have for us to succeed?
Mrs. Pawar:	English is not a difficult language, but rather an interesting one. I often see students struggle to write in their own words because they have no concept how to express themselves. For this, you must read books, articles, newspapers, and other English-language materials that introduce you to new vocabulary.
Interviewer:	I myself struggle to speak in English in a fluent manner. What advice do you have for me?
Mrs. Pawar:	Listening to spoken versions, such as English news or a movie, can help you learn how to utilise new terms in English. Talking with pals in English can also help you practise speaking skills. Do not be scared to fail, for failing is the only way we can learn.
