Solution

This statement is False.

Explanation:

Given, P = ₹ 1200, T = `1 1/2` yr = `3/2` yr and R = 15%

∴ I = `(P xx R xx T)/100`

= `(1200 xx 15 xx 3)/(2 xx 100)`

= ₹ 270

So, the interest is ₹ 270.
