In ΔABP,
DC || AP ...(Given)
∴ `"BD"/"DA" = "BC"/"CP"` (From BPT) ...(i)
In ΔABC,
DE || AC ...(Given)
∴ `"BD"/"DA" = "BE"/"EC"` (From BPT) ...(ii)
From equations (i) and (ii), we have
`"BE"/"EC" = "BC"/"CP"`
