Explanation:

The triangle is isosceles.

So, the two base angles are equal. 

Each base angle

= `(180^circ - 50^circ)/2`

= 65° 

The exterior angle x at the base is the supplement of the base interior angle or equivalently equals the sum of the two opposite interior angles.

So, x = 180° – 65°

= 115°

Or x = 50° + 65°

= 115°
