In ΔABC, if AB = 16 cm, BC = 12 cm and AC = 20 cm, then ΔABC is right-angled.

Explanation:

AC is the longest side of ΔAВС. 

AB2 + BC2 = 162 + 122 

= 256 + 144 

= 400

= 202

= AC2

∴ ∠B = 90°   ...[By the converse of Pythagoras' theorem]
