In ΔABC, DE || BC
DB = 5.4 cm,
AD = 1.8 cm,
EC = 7.2 cm
∴ By using Basic proportionality theorem,
`(AD)/(DB) = (AE)/(EC)`
`1.8/5.4 = (AE)/7.2`
AE × 5.4 = 1.8 × 7.2
AE = `(1.8 xx 7.2)/5.4`
AE = `12.96/5.4`
AE = 2.4 cm
