Solution

⇒ Number of winners = 4 Amount to be received by each winner = `(1,00,000)/4`

= 25,000

⇒ Number of winners = 5 Amount each winner will receive =`(1,00,000)/5`

= 20,000

⇒ Number of winners = 8 Amount each winner will receive =`(1,00,000)/8`

= 12,500

⇒ Number of winners =10 Amount each winner will receive =`(1,00,000)/10`

= 10,000

⇒ Number of winners =20 Amount each winner will receive =`(1,00,000)/20`

= 5,000

Number of winners 1 2 4 5 8 10 20
Prize for each winner (in ₹) 1,00,000 50,000 25,000 20,000 12,500 5,000 5,000

The amount of prize money given to the winner is inversely proportional to the number of winners. Because as the number of winners increases, the amount given to each winner will reduce.
