Solution

A die has six numbers = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
∴ Number of possible outcomes = 6

∴ P(E) = `4/6 = 2/3`

(ii)

Less than or equal to 2

Number of favourable outcomes = 1,2

∴ P(E) = `2/6 = 1/3`

(iii)

Not greater than 2

Number of favourable outcomes = 1,2

∴ P(E) = `2/6 = 1/3`
