Solution

Sample space n(S) = 40

Opponent team trying to attempt the goal = 40 – 32 = 8

Let E be the event of getting opponent team convert the attempt into a goal

n(E) = 8

P(E) = `("n"("E"))/("n"("S"))`

= `8/40`

= `1/5`
