It is give that AD bisects ∠A.
Applying angle – bisector theorem in Δ ABC, we get:
`(BD)/(DC)=(AB)/(AC)`
⟹`(5.6)/(DC)=6.4/8`
⟹DC `=(8xx5.6)/6.4=7cm`
