Connect two 8 Ω resistors in parallel.
Then connect this combination in series with the third 8 Ω resistor.
Parallel combination of two 8 Ω:
`1/R_P = 1/8 + 1/8`
= `2/8`
= 4 Ω
Now in series with the third 8 Ω:
Rtotal = 4 + 8
= 12 Ω
