Solution
Due to land, climate, water, and economic factors, India’s population is unevenly spread out. Due to fertile soil, flat land, and plenty of irrigation, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal are heavily settled in the northern plains of India. Due to uneven topography and modest rainfall, plateau regions like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and southern India have moderate population densities. However, harsh weather, poor transport, and tough living conditions make the Himalayas and Rajasthan deserts sparsely populated. Thus, agricultural and resource-rich regions have the most people in India, whereas difficult terrain and harsh weather have fewer.
