Finally, the hermit answered the king’s question, “The most important time was when you were digging the beds. I was the most important person, and your most important job was to do me good.” After that, the most important part was when you were taking care of that man’s wounds. He would have died without making peace with you if you hadn’t healed them. He was the most important person, and what you did for him was the most important thing you did. Don’t forget that there is only one important time now. The hermit says that the “present time” is the most important time.
