Solution
- We can derive Total Revenue (TR) from Marginal Revenue (MR) by adding up the MR of each unit sold.
- Formula: `TR = sumMR`
- Total Revenue = Sum of Marginal Revenues of all units sold.
- If you know the MR (marginal revenue) for each unit, just keep adding them to get TR.
| Units Sold | MR (₹) | TR (₹) |
| 1 | 10 | 10 |
| 2 | 9 | 19 |
| 3 | 8 | 27 |
| 4 | 7 | 34 |
Here,
- TR at 2 units = MR of 1st unit + MR of 2nd unit = ₹ 10 + ₹ 9 = ₹ 19
- TR at 4 units = ₹ 10 + ₹ 9 + ₹ 8 + ₹ 7 = ₹ 34
