Solution
Once, during my summer vacation, I decided to surprise my family by organising a small “garden tea party” on the terrace, completely without telling any adults. My plan involved moving a set of light plastic chairs into a circle, creating simple invitations on scraps of paper, and preparing a snack of lemonade and biscuits that I had carefully hidden in a basket. I spent the entire afternoon quietly arranging everything while the adults were busy working inside, feeling a thrill of independence as I navigated the logistics of setting the table and timing the “event” perfectly. When I finally invited them up, their genuine surprise and delight made the secret effort feel incredibly rewarding. While I was worried about whether I could pull it off, successfully executing the plan taught me that taking initiative can turn a mundane afternoon into a memorable experience for everyone involved.
