Solution

Chennai has more wet days than Bengaluru because Chennai lies on the coast of the Bay of Bengal and receives rainfall from the North-East Monsoon winds during October to December, which bring steady rain over many days. In contrast, Bengaluru, being inland and on the leeward side of the Western Ghats, receives less frequent rainfall mainly from the South-West Monsoon and does not get as many rainy days. Hence, Chennai’s coastal location and the influence of the North-East Monsoon cause it to have more wet days than Bengaluru.
