Length of rope = `10 1/2`m
Length of cut off rope = `4 5/8`m
Remaining rope = `(10 1/2"m"-4 5/8"m")`
= `21/2"m"-37/8"m"`
= `(84-37)/8=47/8`
= `5 7/8`m.
