Solution
Total length of rope = 40 m
Length of one piece = `10/3` m
Let the number of pieces be x.
Then, according to the question,
`(10x)/3 = 40`
⇒ `x = (40 xx 3)/10`
⇒ x = 12
Hence, number of pieces cut from the rope are 12.
